Rezumat/Abstract. Sustainable Development during Economic Crisis. Sustainable Architecture in Construction Industry operates with two concepts: The Need (the need to build an affordable life standard) and The Limit (environmental limitation to accommodate present and future needs). The Financial Crisis in the last years emphasis on the existing resources limitation and it also increases the price for accessing those resources. Modern human society needs to find replacements for fossil fuel and it needs to supress the consumption and over-consumption need. It is the time we create a sustainable and brighter future by changing the balance from excessive consumerism towards an increased quality of life.
